Datawave Sciworks is an EEG data acquisition software that outputs file in DDF format, which is accessible only by the software and the built-in tools for data analyses are fairly restrictive. I'd like to convert the data into a format that can readily be analysed using Matlab or Python-based software.
I have tried neuroshare and neoIO but to no avail. Most common EEG data formats are supported natively but Datawave DDF isn't.

No EDF or CSV exports?
I would address the company and ask for a solution and tell them that you will warn others from byuing their locked in product. They should at least have an EDF-export or better a Matlab reader and/or a SDK
@Peter T Breuer: On second thought, it might be the same one (or a derived fork) but there's no way for me to be absolutely certain. I say so because DDF (Datawave) seems to organizes data similar to DDF* (http://codice.github.io/ddf/); organizing several files into one clean file. However, they are dissimilar in the fields they have been implemented in; DDF for electrophysiological data and DDF* as a secure online data framework.
Besides, one still requires vendor DLL's to access Datawave's DDF proprietary format (which hasn't worked out for me so far). So, there goes the open source-ness.
@Pål G Larsson: They provide no SDK but I was able to use the in-built data-export plugin that enables conversion to Plexon/CED, and ASCII (huge file, several channels missing) formats.
I am exploring this option and should be able to execute it using the Neuroshare Matlab API.
