I want to test a new architecture for intrusion detection that uses multi-agent systems, and a CBR agent (Case Based Reasoning). Is there any suitable and easy platform for me to implement my architecture? Madkit, NS2, Omnet++?
Personally I would implement a Java daemon application with the new architecture and put it on live systems or even virtual systems.
Then I would capture malware traffic from attacks (or you can find pcap files of malware on the net) and replay it.
After you are sure that is working you can try the implementation with madkit.
you have a guide or tutorial that explain how we can implement a Java daemon application ?
You can do it by threads.
ex.
Thread t = new Thread(new myfunction());
t.setDaemon(true);//success is here now
t.start();
Thread.sleep(1000);
If you check the net you will find many examples.
Check this site for example:
http://www.java2novice.com/java_thread_examples/daemon_threads/
Thank you for your answer.
Can I use as a classical simulator for example NS2, Castalia, OPNET ...
to test the functionality and going through after to Implement on Madkit platform ?
What is the difference between a platform for developing and a simulator ?
Thank you in advance.
