Fully dry films can be very brittle. But if you keep them in a humid atmosphere, such as in a controlled temperature and humidity cabinet you can avoid such problems. I am assuming of course that don't want them to be completely dried out for your experiments.
Am planning to use it for wound dressing,so what am asking is that eventually the films would become dry and it will be brittle,so how to avoid that situation?
if your polymer is brittle polymer, then try to blend with rubbery polymer (silicone rubber) which is biocompatible and less cytotoxic in nature. PEG has been reported to be cytotoxic in few clinical trial study.
Dear Abhimanyu. You can try to blend it with chitosan; a natural biopolymer which is cost effective, biodegradeable and biocompatible and is a promosing material for your desired application.
