I have an mCherry signal in my zebrafish and would like to detect it with antibody, which will enhance the signal. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Also - can I use a mouse anti-mCherry for detection in zebrafish?
Monika - For your second question, you can use mouse anti-mCherry for detection of mCherry from any species. The antibody was made from mice, but the epitope is present on all mCherry proteins.
Hi Monika, in our zebrafish lab we use a mouse anti-mCherry antibody that works very well in our hands. It is made by Abcam, code ab125096. Cheers, Natascia
If anyone is still looking for a reliable anti-mCherry antibody, you might want to try the guinea pig anti-rfp from Synaptic System (#390 004). It works perfectly on PFA-fixed mouse brain tissue (infected with AAV-Dreadds-mcherry)
