The study is one the effect of temperature on enzymatic activity. Is there any decay model available to determine the half-life of the enzyme. In the experiment I used 15 minutes temperature interval and it is difficult to exactly find the half-life. Please give your valuable suggestions.

If one consider the loss of activity of an enzyme as a irreversible one-step process (active enzyme becomes inactive), the following of the denaturation (activity versus time) follows a negative exponential law A(t)=A(t=0)e(-kt) (A(t) being activity measured at the t time). From the treatment of your experimental data you will be able to calculate k (the easiest is to trace Ln(A(t)/A(t0))=f(t) which is linear with slope=-k). Knowing k, half life t1/2 of the activity is the time needed to lose half of the activity, so t1/2 =Ln2/k.
