There are a number of ways to do it, and it depends on what recovery you need. In any case, take advantage of the fact that they are water soluble in acid and not water soluble in base. This will give you a relatively clean sample. When needing a large sample, I like to extract into aqueous water then do a liquid/liquid extraction into basic butanol. When analyzing smaller amounts, use SPE, using the acid/base qualities to wash and elute.
