Attached are three papers that describe the use of an ecosystem process that converts organic matter/waste into high value chemicals.  Two are published, the third is scheduled for publication in June.

After a quick review your papers, I see that my initial question could have been stated more clearly. That said, I am interested in papers, articles, or texts that explore the development and use of ecosystems 

Isenberg (2011) recently proposed a diagram of start-ups entrepreneurial ecosystem. His model was quickly taken up by the entrepreneurship literature. It’s an adaptation and an updating of the business ecosystem concept, but focused on the entrepreneur environment. I don’t know if it can be extrapolated to other situations of interest.

Thank you for very much for reply to my question, along with a copy of your introduction. After a quick review of the introduction, your research appears to support some of my initial hypotheses. However, I do need to take some time to review the introduction in more depth to verify that. That said, I look forward to reviewing this in my more depth in the coming days.

However, the one topic area that I am particularly interested in, that I didn't see evidence of the introduction. Is the impact of a company's ecosystem on its business model. In other words, how a company's ecosystem (from a life cycle perspective), causes a company's business model to change (or not change) over time. Again, since I didn't give the Introduction a close read as of yet, please forgive me if I missed this topic area,

Overall we do note that in the literature ecosystems are frequently taken as granted and outside of the influence of the organizations themselves, and we argue for the influence organizational actors have on the organizational field and ecosystem.

While the three areas of emergence all link ecosystem characteristics to ultimate outcomes such as organizational forms, identity, and even business models, the area of the theory most closely related to the impact of the ecosystem on a company's business model is the formation step.  The theory section on formation starting on page 12 may be useful, and the discussion of the various contributions we have categorized as primarily in the formation step starting on page 19 may also be of direct interest. 

Perhaps the most directly relevant speculation in the piece is on pages 25-27 where we discuss the decentralized trust mechanisms enabled by blockchains entering the ecosystem, and the ultimate impact on organizations and business models.

I have one additional piece that may be useful as well, which I've attached below.
