I plan to do research on employee engagement. Would like to study research papers on employee engagement. Can anyone connect me with research papers on employee engagement?
The following references could be a good start, but there are of course a huge amount of articles within the field:

It depends on what you mean by employee engagement...
I suggest Schaufeli's work on "work engagement". He defines work engagement as “a positive fulfilling, affective, motivational state of work-related well-being, described by vigor, dedication, and absorption” (Schaufeli, Salanova, Gonzalez-Roma, & Bakker, 2002, p. 74).
Here is a first reference:
Schaufeli, W. B., Salanova, M., Gonzalez-Roma, V., & Bakker, A. (2002). The measurement of burnout and engagement: A confirmatory factor analytic approach. Journal of Happiness Studies, 3, 71-92. doi:10.1023/A:1015630930326.
Employee engagement has been defined differently by different researchers. to develop a better conceptualization of the construct, you can go through the initial conceptualization of employee engagement by Kahn and proceed to read Schaufeli & Macey and Schneider's conceptualizations. I am attaching herewith a few research papers in addition to what I have mentioned. I have also attached one of my publications on engagement.
Hope these papers will serve your purpose.
Conference Paper Reconceptualising Employee Engagement
As the present indicates happiness and employee engagement is a good topic to do the research in future. As I did on engagement on 2004-2007 my experience indicates for today's relevance.
