I'm conducting a literature review of power, influence and political behaviors found in Strategic Leadership. I have not had much luck finding studies looking specifically at the nature of power and influence in Strategic Leadership. I will likely map the constructs I've found in other studies but any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Some interesting work might actually be on 'strategies' rather than strictly strategic leadership. I found Pierre Bourdieu work on strategy (in particular his work 'from rules to strategies' - appears in a few places, including the book 'In other words' edited by Adamson I believe).
Michel Foucault also did some interesting writing on strategy (I like the work around anticipation - much better than the more mainstream notions of proactivity).

At risk of self-promotion, I wrote a book 'school leadership and strategy in managerialist times' (2011, Sense) that does work around this, but it is focused on school (or really educational) leadership.
