I wish to work towards a minor, possibly more, or transgender issues. My location and commitment at this time does not give me the freedom to attend other institutions so I'm searching for reputable online classes. Any recommendations or suggestions are appreciated.
What sort of credit - undergrad, grad, CEU? Are you wanting to apply them to a degree?
I'm an undergrad in the University of Wisconsin system. Thank you for replying. I'm majoring in Sociology and minoring in Women's Gender & Sexuality. I'm wanting to do more research, possibly a field study somewhere, this summer. I just need so much more information on what is available to me.
I would first check with your home school about what qualifies as transfer credit if you are concerned about applying it toward your degree. If you are seeking knowledge and not concerned so much about the credit, there are several organizations you could contact. Start here:

Also becoming a member of AASECT (www.aasect.org) gives you access to an e-list where you can get information from luminaries in the field. However, I question the ultimate value of that membership.

To the extent that you might not know, there is an International organisation: The Worldt Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). I recommend a membership there , which will give access to online resources, knowledgeable colleagues etc.
The WPATH has an expensive membership fee, Esben Esther (unless they have a student fee wich is lower...) I would also recommend you take contact with Vreer:
