I recommend for sure. My courses begin always with a projection of a full length movie selected amongs the most famous in the history of cinema - sometimes unfortunately forgotten - to introduce the subject of the project. As I teach architectural composition, students have to know that memories and images coming from different fields have an important role in the start up fase of our work, so also during the lessons I put inside my presentations animations and videos to reinforce the communication. I have understood that a good use of multimedia tools could improve the understanding of conceptual matters

in my didactics experience it is enough to link video in ppt presentations.
Understand! But i am interested in tool for video editing with capabilities to add tests, internal links, anchors inside the video record.
