I am trying to design a PR controller to control the output voltage of a single-phase H bridge inverter having unipolar SPWM (fundamental frequency=50Hz and switching frequency=20kHz).
Can anyone please suggest to me a simple way to find Kp Kr values for the PR controller?

A long time ago AEG had a practical method of commissioning DC drives using
Optimators ,basically a setup of R and C values to be used on the opamps of the controllers. These values were adjusted in situ using oscilloscopes. Perhaps a similar approach using software could be used.

if you are using MATLAB/Simulink, tuning controller gains should be easy.
either of the following should do
1. using simulink design optimisation (can refer documentation/google for details). In most cases fixed cost function is used, though a custom cost function can be used
2. just follow simple code in fmincon help page and write your own cost function. You could also use genetic algorithm using this way - it gives better results for non-convex problems, but takes longer time
3. you could also use autodiff library from deeplearning toolbox to arrive at optimal gain values. Though it isn't straight-forward, in my experience it has given better results than (1), but often takes longer time.
please note that above are numerical methods for tuning.
