Can anyone of you please tell me how can i generate fading channel coefficient by using COST231 Path-loss equation?

As you know we use "(distance)^( - path loss exponent)" to calculate the variance of the channel coefficient. How can we use COST231 path loss to generate the channel coefficient in simulation?
