Actually, I want to know that how anti-human IgM bind with human IgM. I want to know the specific reaction. So, I will appreciate if anyone could share their knowledge.
Anti human IgM attaches specific to FC fragment of human IgM.
As you know IgM antibody stracture consists of two chains: heavy chain (Mou) and Ligh chain ( kappa and lambda) also the antibody structure composed of two segments: Fab and FC, the Fc part of all antibodies consist of heavy chain. in this occasion the FC part of IgM is only consist of mou chain that specificly links to anti human IgM.
It depends on the antibody you purchased. Have a look at the datasheet. Some antibodies bind only to the Fc, others bind to all parts of the IgM. A polyclonal antibody (goat) binds to many different areas of an antigen anyway.
Thank you dear researcher for your response. Actually, I want to know specific chemical reaction between anti-human IgM with IgM. I mean what functional groups involve in reaction.
This question cannot be answered. There are many different anti-human IgM antibodies possible, and each ot them will bind different "functional groups". If you have a polyclonal serum, the antibodies will bind essentially "everything". Only with a specific monoclonal antibody, an epitope (bound region) can be defined.
