I know that the wireless fading channel is random and modeled as random and we have many channel models which model different types of fading channel like rayleigh for NLOS, Rice for LOS and Nakagami-m etc. and we also know for satellite to ground receiver we have many loss like atmospheric losses, rain attenuation losses, Ionospheric loss , scintilation loss etc, are these losses are not random. What are the different ways to model these losses as we model different wireless fading channels? Do we not need to model these losses or express these losses mathematically using equations? Any related publication or material or help will be very appreciated
