Hello! i am currently in the process of finalizing materials for graphene oxide based cobalt ferrite composite. For that matter i need guidance on few matter such as
if i have oleic acid coated cobalt ferrites and graphene oxide should i make a composite using esterfication catalyst?
or i should functionalize GO with PEI (polyethyleneimine) and make a composite using edc and nhs with oleic acid coated CoFe2o3 and ?
or you have better advice for making oleic acid coated cobalt ferrities with GO composites. your response will be highly appreciated

Is absolutely not clear why you generally use salts of fatty acids, and particularly oleates? In the end, if you want to use non-aqueous solutions, it is more logical to use 2-ethylhexanoate of cobalt and iron. They are also soluble in organic solvents and their carbon chains are much shorter. I think that G. Parthasarathy offered you the right idea, to use aqueous solutions of simple salts of cobalt and iron. Although I would recommend you use these nitrates, because they provide more specific hydrolysis products.
