The sample contains Ni, Ti, Sn.
I cannot identify the pics at 31°, 32.4 and 45.3°.
in attachment the xrd pattern
Best regards
What is exact chemical formula of your sample? Without knowing chemical formula one can not able to identify the peaks.
@ Dinesh Kumar
One of XRD tasks is identifying unknown crystalline materials.
My simple consist of the product of milling for 30 min of the elemental powder of Ni, Ti, Sn.
Using highscore and ICSD database I have identified the pics of these three elements, but the pics at 31°, 32.4 and 45.3° remain not identified.
Dear colleague, in such a case you need the composition of the mill or mortar. Blank values have to be determined. A good option to get blank values of your system is using purified quartz sand. Good luck!
Alex
It looks like these peaks (31°, 32.4 and 45.3°) are explained by a Tin Beta phase (98-023-8883), See attached screen shot of PhaseID
Thomas Degen I am grateful for your help.
Can I know which database have you used ?
I was using PANICSD 2017-1 and PDF4+ 2018. The Tin-beta card is "98-023-6663" by the way.
I didn't check if one of those databases would have been enough already to solve that case.
It is solveable by using the PANICSD only, see screenshot:
I was actually using pretty strong elemental restrictions bringing down the search space to 1153 reference patterns only, see screenshot:
Thomas Degen Thank you very much.
Any bibliographic suggestion. Best regards
