About estimation of legal and semi-legal workers: there might be no statistics, especially on semi-legal, so you should develop a model how to do that. The most difficult issue is to estimate the quantity of not legal migrants, but there are probably such estimates in literature, clearly not exact. There is also no official information about their occupation. Then one can either look for some surveys (people who receive care might give answers), or to model microeconomic choice for occupation of illegal migrants. Like private contract with families may be the only (or one of few) option(s) in some countries, so that employer is not prosecuted.

It is very difficult to find this information since the government of Germany suppresses negative views about migrants they welcomed last year, over a million, and already about 100,000 this year. Most were not refugees from Syrian but illegal migrants but they wanted the public to think that they were refugees so the public accepts them.
