While looking at several research papers, I found the LSD value written under the data. I know how to perform the LSD tests using the SPSS for determining significant differences. But I'm not quite sure whether SPSS gives us the LSD value or not. Or it is to be done by hand. Thanks

Example: Go to Analyse.....> Compare Means....> Oneway ANOVA....> box In the dialog box you will find post Hoc.....> You will find LSD there.
In the SPSS program, the LSD value is calculated indirectly after conducting the test according to its conventional steps and then focusing on the Multiple Comparisons table through which the LSD value is calculated and through the following equation:
LSD = (Upper Bound - Lower Bound) / 2
With an important note: The result of the equation for all cells within the two columns referred to in the equation must be the same, and in some cases we obtain more than one value, and this appears in experiments that include transactions with unequal replicates.
