This equipment is a continuous flow analyser. This type of equipment can be used to test water or liquid extracts/digests of plant samples. The methods are usually colorimetric although I have seen applications with a flame photometer (for Na). The flow methods are simply adaptations of the conventional manual procedures.

Thank you prof Paul. I didn't find any articles in which this technique is used for detection of nutrients/ extracts etc.
