it's may be species of copepod

I'm pretty sure it's a specimen of Stratiomyidae,

to know which genre it belongs to, I need detailed photos on the ends.

It does resemble an aquatic dipteran larva. I will go with the Stratiomyidae larva identification for now. I will try and check my aquatic insects guide in the office next week.

Looks like a retractile head capsule - so I would have gone for Tipulidae (crane fly) rather than Stratiomyidae. I'm used to New Zealand freshwaters, so diagnostics may not hold true for for your intertidal situation.

I am sure that it is not a copepod.

It looks similar to insect larvae, but I wonder about the size, which is less than 1000 microns or 1mm.
