We have sampled zooplankton using Neuston Net.
We have the area of the rectangular Neuston net & the speed at which the net was towed onboard our research vessel (i.e. 2 nautical miles per hour)
Please help me to calculate Number of individuals per cubic meter of the water sampled.

It is useful to use a flow-meter, since you can cruise i.e., a distance against the current (in this case the incoming flow is greater than if you navigate in favor of the current). Even traveling the same distance, the filtered volume can change.

I would not express the abundance of neuston in per volume units. It has more sense to express it on per surface units (by definition, neuston lives in the air-water interface (either above the interface water-air or below it). So the product of amplitude mouth of the net times the length of the haul will give you the surface sampled.

For collection of zooplankton you need plankton net. How you can collect plankton with neuston net. What was the mesh size of your net? It doesn’t make sense.
