FEAR in R not working even with earlier version of R(3.1) as quoted in FEAR document.  I am using only excel, started to explore with r DEA, DEAFrontier and DEAP,

Is R package benchmarking freely available?

yes any package for R is open source R itself open source. Benchmarking , the default model is VRS and out put oriented.

LIMDEP is not open source and quite Expensive.

It is correct! because the model is proportional.

Use Frontier 4 software which you can download from Australian National University

R has good features for DEA . Use Benchmarking or Performance package

does R Benchmarking package works better than other DEA software?

R Benchmarking package is good. We could do many things if we could code little bit and we can achieve everything. PIM-DEAzone has more features, I haven't used it. It is an annual subscription towards maintenance(support) +base price. (Upto 100 DMUS.), some where 195 Streling Pounds.

Does R apply for DEA Malmquist? Could you please recommend me a reference for that?. Thanks in advance Venkatesh Kanyakumari
