I am about to enter discussions with Sciendo and De Gruyter about book publications. I want information from anyone who has published with them before or has any knowledge of their operations
SCIENDO is a subsidiary of De Gruyter published in Europe. I have published with them and I can assure you that they do thorough peer-review. I can confirm to you that they publish many renowned and highly ranked (High Impact Factor) journals for many institutions and academic bodies.
They are legal, legitimate and NOT predatory. Please make your independent investigation as well.
De Gruyter is an internationally reputed German publisher, no doubt. It publishes hundreds of journals, books, and book series. Its standards are high, and its personnel are meticulous. You need patience with them.
I've published with De Gruyter, but not Sciendo. I found De Gruyter to be a pleasant experience with thorough reviews of my article submission. According to their overview, they've been around for about 260 years ... so I'd say they're pretty stable as an organization. Here's the link:

Sciendo is a subsidiary of De Gruyter, but with a separate editorial team, a separate editorial policy, and its own production, marketing and distribution teams. Its parent company, De Gruyter, is a scholarly publisher with almost 270 years of experience. None of them are predatory.
Do we have a relationship between the high rank databases (WoS, Scopus) and this new Sciendo De Gruyter database? The journals from Sciendo are likely to be found in the near future in Scopus, for example?
No, they are not predatory publisher. On the opposite, they are one of the renowned publishing houses. You can check whether publishing house is predatory or not seeing their websites.
