Hi.

A droplet interface bilayer (DIB) has been formed by using lipids that has a low phase transition temperature, such as DPhPC and DOPC.

However, I couldn't find any papers where a DIB is formed by using lipids that has a phase transition temperature higher than room temperature, such as DPPC and DPPG.

Also, I have tried to make a pure DPPC DIB several times, but it failed.... (I could make a DPhPC DIB successfully.)

I think the success rate of DIB formation depends on the fluidity of lipids.

Can anybody have any idea or experience to make a pure DPPC DIB ?

Thanks.
