Can anybody explain to me why I did these steps in my interpretation of SCX-TiO2 results?

I'm interpreting my SCX-TiO2 results and am looking for the amount of glutamate and aspartate in the peptide sequences. I'm looking for the phosphopeptides that are diluted in different fractions and then created an extrated ion chromatogram for them to determine their retention time and intensity.
