I may add the following items on marine development after having gone through somewhat similar areas in South India. For e.g.all brown sea weeds can be used to make liquid fertilizer & this is used to spray on leaves of any vegetation for faster growth. One Kg. of the wet sea weed gives 1 litre of the fertilizer, which can be diluted to 1:10 to 1:100 with fresh water & applied on leaves. It is now a commercial item in India.2) Coral fishes being usually colored can be used to breed & such fishes are in heavy demand overseas.3) Fish seeds can be collected from coastal areas for aquaculture practices.4) Artemia (monkey shrimp) can be aqua cultured on a mass scale for adult & its cysts harvesting as both are in good demand in hatcheries & in shrimp feed preparation.5) In any of the fish sps. are available in enough quantity, the same could be used for bioassay tests.6) Some of the fish got from marine sources can also be used in fresh water aquaculture.7) Mother liquor got after harvesting salt from salt pans can be used to manufacture a number of high value chemicals.8) Many protozoans got from salt pans like Dunaliela can be used in hatcheries & in making glycerol.Other protozonas in demand are Isochrysis galbana, Monochrysis lutheri,Chloromonas etc.8) Mud flats can be extensively be used for mud crab culture.
