Major thing is that, nanotube may facilitate electron tunneling through it hollow tube. Therefore, resistance is less and it may increase current. However, without having more details about your materials, it is difficult to get clear idea about it.

Electrical conductivity of most of the metals is higher than carbon nanotubes, so they will increase the electrical conduction. Electropositive metals will increase the electron density by electronic effect and may increase the conduction by reducing the oxides at the surface.
