Regarding to the database for any Bio-metrics model (fingerprint,palmprint ....etc).there are many databases available as standard databases for test your algorithm on it ,but some of them you can get it by contact with the owner of particular database and give him the purpose which you want to apply it . for example if you are student in this filed upload to him ID card ,letter from your Dept. and he will  provided you the download link with User Name and Password for definite time for downloading . 

The database like(CASIA, FVC2000,FVC2002,FVC2004,FVC2006, IIT, NIST4 ,PolyU ,..etc) , see the link which include different databases
