Dear Laurnet bornaghi, in your attachment i had not found any reaction which was catalyzed by Taurine (i.e reaction in presence of 2-Aminoethanesulfonic acid).
Currently we are working on the project voglibose tablets. Our goal is to develop a method suitable for RP-HPLC conditions with UV detection. Since Voglibose doesn't have chromophore, we need to derivatise it prior to take up for hplc. In some literatures we found that derivatisation of voglibose with sodium periodate and taurine will help for a normal UV-detection in RP-HPLC. We tried alot methods already with different concentrations and different boiling and cooling conditions to achieve this, but not yet succeeded. hence i am waiting for different suggestions, preferably conditions to complete this oxidation reaction.
Phani, I don't understand what you mean by derivatization of vogibose with NaIO4 and taurine. You have a secondary amine in voglibose, Just derivatize it with benzoyl chloride or any other aromatic acid chloride, and you can easily detect with RP-HPLC with UV detector. You dont have to use taurine and periodate. Even Voglibose without any modification can be detected in RP-HPLC if you have an RI-detector in your HPLC.
