can any one estimate the mesh size for particles in this SEM image? the image is taken from calcium carbonate fine powder. you can find the image in attached file.
Maybe someone could better help you if you could give a size range. My idea is to use something with a standard size and take a picture of it with the same SEM and settings. Then you could compare distances on the photos. For example the distances of various elements of a CD or DVD track. For the distances of these see:
Actual standards for calibrating a SEM are more expensive than a old SEM at auction. However, you might see if the lab you used to get the image has a standard or a mesh of a known size. And different SEMs, even of the same model, give different scale results.
