In Desalination project ,it is needed to use effective solar energy storing materials for increasing the efficiency of the system. Can any body suggest me to most effective storing materials?
Do you want to store the energy as heat or something you have converted the heat into, like electricity? If heat, as Hemin says, look for phase-change materials. But make sure they work at the required temperature..
The nature the thermal energy storage materials depends in the required temperatures. For moderate temperatures applications (200deg. Celscius and below) sensible heat storage materials like sunflower oil and rocks work better. For high temperatures, PCMs like combination of potassium nitrate and sodium nitrate are recommended, though it may have power thermal conductivity. First be certain of the required temperatures
