- steady or transient numerical modeling?

- in 1,2 or 3 dimensions?

- what do you mean with heat transfer? Only conductive mechanisms on the solid domain or also convective/radiative phenomena with surroundings?

Why are you not using commercial CFD software ANSYS FLUENT or comsol multiphysics? It will be very easy to simulate your problem using any of these software.
