I am working on wind turbine towers, which are composed of various sections. Now, I want to join these sections, but I don't want to model the bolts and the flanges, which is the actual case. I came across the axial connector, but as those sections lie on top of each other, these connectors would have zero length. Is it possible to assign a zero-length to such a connector? or is there a better connector/spring that can be used? I am looking for ideas basically for modeling the connection somehow indirectly.
