Can AI be emotionally intelligent (whatever AI, emotional, or intelligent may mean to you)?
Research addresses machine recognition and modeling of human emotional expression, including the invention of new software tools to help people gather, communicate, and express emotional information and to better manage and understand the ways emotion impacts health, social interaction, learning, memory, and behavior.
Having said that, can AI be emotionally intelligent? What may it mean?
My answer is YES for humanizing machine learning with real time variation according to the current situation and previously learned emotions/data.
For a computing machines, it is however., not possible other than the given commands and direction together with the given input data (training data) for decisions over the new unseen or testing data for output performances.
Thank you for your kind response. However, judging from your response in two parts, it seems a bit contradictory. You said yes, but then for computing machines is not possible (yet) to deal with emotions. KR

This is an interesting question.
I believe that it is possible, artificial intelligence based on natural intelligence can have aspects of emotion.
These aspects can be based on the perception of the senses or emotions!
The fact is that the branches of artificial intelligence due to overlap with nature such as genetic algorithms, neural networks, etc., have the ability to manipulate emotions and the like. This could be the beginning of a human and emotional machine, something like tomorrow's robots!
And this is the beginning of the story.
