CALL FOR COLLABORATORS (Filipino Scholars Only) Hi! Louie here, an assistant professor/researcher at Mapua. I’m trying to stay active. I don’t want to leave research productivity to chance. So, here I am, doing some shameless plugging. I’m looking for FOUR committed collaborators per project to join me in exploring the landscape of academic writing in the age of AI. These are autoethnographic research projects, so expect deep reflection, rigorous thinking, and meaningful collaboration. PROJECT 1: Academic Writers in the Age of AI: A Currere-Based Inquiry – Framework: Pinar’s Currere Method – Focus: How academic writers are navigating their writing identities in an AI-mediated world. PROJECT 2: AI-Assisted Cheating in Student Writing: What Should Faculty Do? – Framework: Atkins and Murphy’s Model of Reflection – Focus: How faculty are making sense of, and responding to, AI-assisted academic misconduct. PROJECT 3: I, We, and GPT: The Shifting Voice of Academic Writers in the Age of Artificial Intelligence – Framework: Ricoeur’s Narrative Identity Theory – Focus: How generative AI (like ChatGPT) is shaping academic voice, agency, and identity. Who I’m Looking For: ✅ Academic writers in Philippine higher education only ✅ Early career researchers are very welcome ✅ Must have an H-index of at least 4 (Google Scholar) ✅ At least 2 years of experience using Gen AI, especially large language models ✅ Productive and passionate academic writers: especially from English, Communication, Philosophy, Liberal Arts ✅ (For Project 1) Those who teach and assess student writing ✅ Willing to share reflective narratives and do one interview over five weeks ✅ Must contribute actively to writing, revising, and completing the paper within deadlines ✅ Must be committed, works well with others, and values academic integrity. ⚠️ Note: You can only join one project. 📩 If interested, please send your short bio, Google Scholar H-index, and area of interest to [email protected].
