I would like to heat a die of 40mm outer dia and 20mm inner dia and the height of the die being 100mm. I would want to heat the the die to temperature gradient of 150degree celsius.

material being Steel

I have a standard induction coil with following specifications

Dia of coil wire 5mm

Dia of coil 50mm

number of winding 7

pitch 13mm

Power specs of the coil is 500 and it would take almost 120 second to heat my die element.

Now i would like to alter the dimensions of the Coil winding

Dia of coil being 65 mm

pitch 25mm

and number of winding 4

will it take same time to heat up the material which is 120 s?

if not can you please provide me the calculation ?

I would also need to know will the heating be possible even in the central axis of the die cylinder or it is restricted to certain length from the induction coil.

I have read that it has some penetration depth.? Can you please give me the calculation with the answer for the same.?
