This is not a programming question or OTU problem.

Calculation of ratio is dividing one by another.

So for the ration you need, just do total RA or Firmicutes / total RA of Bacteroidetes.

At some point during your analysis, you typically do a taxonomic classification of your features (OTU in your case). Once you have that information, you can then check the abundance of each individual phylum in your dataset, and later calculate the ratio of Firmicutes:Bacteroidetes.
