How can more meaningful cross-sector collaborations/partnerships for the Goals (SDGs) be forged? That lead to the co-creation of sustainable value to participating stakeholders.
My particular interest here concerns the use of systems approaches:

Dear Miles Weaver, Very interesting and important issue. I also believe that systemic solutions for building intersectoral cooperation / partnership for the implementation of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) should be developed and improved. In my opinion, it is necessary to increase the scale of pro-ecological state interventionism, under which, through normative, financial instruments, etc., the activation of commercially operating business entities is carried out to implement the principles of sustainable development, social environmental (ecological) responsibility, pro-ecological reforms in implementing eco-innovations in economic processes, etc. In this way, the pro-ecological transformation processes of the traditional brown economy into a sustainable green economy / circular economy may significantly accelerate.

There is a lot of literature out there how to design partnerships for social goals like the SDG's. for me, the main issue in these efforts is how contestation and differences between stakeholders are acknowledged in these type of collaborations. Together with colleagues, I have been working on an agonistic approach of these partnerships that is expected to be applicable in cases of contestation (and this is what I expect to be the case in many SDG's) (
(attach 1). Another issue is the determination of what is ethical in these collaborations. The problem with stakeholder theory is that it is not necessarily a normative theory about how stakeholders should respond to other stakeholders. In this respect, it might be interestig to have a look at my contribution to an ethics of stakeholder engagement based on an agonistic approach of cross sector partnerships (attach 2) . As newbie to the world of academia but with 30 years of work experience in various environments and as a leader having dealt with tens of thousands of individuals, I would dial it back a bit, I cant think of one leader or manager who even knows what the 17 goals are or that they even exist and that includes Mayors, CEO's and many Directors....so that would be a starter for 10 in my humble opinion
