There was a time when people said that radiation from a stone was impossible, that would be magic… they could not belief... Today X-Ray is common known phenomenon…
What is magic? Special skills to elevate over the laws of matter?
Everything is Energy which can be converted so matter can be formed in this way. This is magic, because we do not know the rules of energy, we belief that consciousness is a product of matter (Darwin) so our imagination is already limited and because of that we explain some things as 'magic'. But Levitation or to control the 'chi' is just a skill which can be trained, like playing an instrument as well.
Every skill level deppends on the imagination which depends on the mind set. It is always the following cascade: 1. Conception 2. Perception 3. Action
An Exapmle: Track reading. I you are the first time in your life together with an Indian track reader he can say "...look over there, a fox-track, there the fox stopped a short time an saw a duck flying away…" An you think that this is imposible (magic) because you see nothing on the ground. But you are hungry and the ability of that Indian is important to chase an animal, because there is Nothing else to eat in this great forest. After some day yo decide to belief and you Change your conception (he can see tracks, although you can't, so the track is there). Than you follow the Indian for one year and more and more you learn to see tracks in the snow, in the dirt and within the years yo can detect every little aspect on the ground and so you change your perception. Through all the years in the forest you learned a lot about every animal living there and some day you have the ability to find any animal you want, you are able to act like the Indian... Every other would say that your action-level is magic (like you did it the first time).
To summon an individual ( a deamon or whatever) in the whide sphere of beeings (when you know the rules) is complex bit you just need to know the rules. Than you can force a beeing to do things for you (a lot of people would call that 'magic' as well). This is certainly black magic, because you force and do not respect the will of the summoned individual. This is the general definition of 'black' in this context.
When you do things not in harmony with the will of the absolute AND the will of the beeing, the person, or whoever is involved, you do not respect their free will or the will of the absolute and what you do is 'black'. In this way you can practice black magic, black healing, black regulating, black trading and so on... Black means: NOT in harmony. When you do your stuff in harmony, you do not Need 'magic', and if you need it nevertheless - you will get the magic power suddenly from the absolute. We knor examples of this magic powers when People rescued another for example...
But there are a lot of human inkarnations in the world who belief (god-averted) in "needings" and fear of having too little and sattisfite their starvation by consuming others or the planet - this is black magic as well. And sadly this plays an importand role in the direction of the mass (politics) today, because the black mind-set behind is widespread and popular…
Raja N A Khan Here's my summary description of magic from the Ickeny Collection's website (www.ickeny.co.uk).
What is Magic?
Magic is explained in many ways. Magic is many things. The power of an effective spell is similar to that of a prayer answered. The agency is different, but the effect and objective process is comparable.
Magic has been defined in many ways. It is the making of change in accordance with will. It is the performance of an act with the intent to cause change – whether or not there is any physical connection between the act and the effect. It is causative influence beyond scientific explanation, or non-causative causation. It is meaningful coincidence or synchronicity, or things working out in accordance with a pattern not obvious to the mundane eye.
The will that patterns the change can be yours, or that of one or other deity, or of the Universe. The magician, shaman or priest may pray to, call upon, supplicate, appease or otherwise persuade – or sometimes command – a spiritual entity or subtle natural forces to perform some act or behave in a certain way. He or she may pull on the threads of the Web of Wyrd, journey to the Ancestors or the Otherworld to act out a mythopoetic reality, present suitable archetypal symbols to the subconscious mind, or set up the appropriate patterns in the memeplex we call reality to effect change.
The change can be in the outer world, or within yourself. The intent and outcome can be good or bad – magic is not black or white, but the magician’s motivations may be! And the outcome can be different to that expected – good intentions can pave roads to wrong destinations.
Magic has always been part of human life. Similar patterns of folk magic exist regardless of formal religion or belief system – whether Pagan, Christian, Islamic, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, or materialist agnostic. Religion itself uses magic, although it employs different terminology. All too often the magician is a saintly follower of the religion if they are a priest engaged in orthodox practices, but a ‘witch’ or ‘evil sorcerer’ if a lay practitioner, outside holy orders or using unorthodox practices.
Chris Wood Well, yes, indistinguishability is a symmetrical relation, i.e. for any x and any y, if x is indistinguishable from y, then y is indistinguishable from x. So the 'reverse' is really just an equivalence since there is mutual entailment. But Dr. Who is a product of lesser minds than Clarke, so I doubt that they were aware of that. Anyway, Clarke's dictum is elliptical; he was talking about what might be alleged to be magic, not real magic, which he didn't believe in.
Karl Pfeifer Which was Clarke's loss (although belief is a tool in magic rather than a basis). The point being made in that exchange in Doctor Who is that magic can operate like technology and have effects that are as real. That this may be implied in Clarke's words is not a semantic irrelevance, it is the point that people usually ignore, and is therefore worth articulating. As for Doctor Who being a creation of lesser minds than Clarke, well, it is a creation of many minds, some banal (nadirs such as the sixth and the current Doctors, although in the latter case not the actor's fault), others way more creative and imaginative than Clarke - Douglas Adams, Neil Gaiman, Terry Nation... And here's the thing that Clarke's materialism really missed out on: Doctor Who taps into primordial and living mythologies, of the Trickster and Culture Hero. That in itself is a kind of magic.
Dear @Chris Wood. Many thanks. Can you kindly guide further that how an experiment can be done in lab to determine & access any such influences by machine plz?
No, I can't. Magic doesn't work like that. The nearest you could get would be the experiments that have been done on telekinesis, remote viewing and psychic healing (there's an extensive literature on such "parapsychology"), but that's only on the margins of magic as such. And magic depends on the crucial tool of belief. You have to believe in the outcome for it to work, so if you perform an operation to see if it works, it won't.
Raja N A Khan I think the closest you can come would be virtual Magick in a virtual world. Maybe join and immerse yourself in an appropriate community in Second Life, one of whose slogans is "express yourself and create anything you can imagine". Or else try peyote. You can at least have the experiences (albeit pseudo) if not the reality* .
Black magic is a science. Magic books use hieroglyphs that only selected people can read ‘witch’ or ‘sorcerer’. Those are instructed by satan “devil” and his soldiers. These creatures are made of fire. They can see us but we cannot see them unless they decide to reveal their self’s to us. They can take the shape of humans or animals. Their main goal is making people become atheists. If they are not able to do so, then they push people to do evil deeds. The first condition to enter in contact with the devil is to deny the existence of a unique god. Then there are rituals that should be performed such as the sacrifice of a chicken and scattering of blood on walls. The contact can be direct or indirect through a ‘witch’ or ‘sorcerer’. These practices were openly practiced in the Babylon and ancient Egypt of the pharaons and become secret at the time of the abrahimic religions “Judaism, Christianism and islam” for the obvious reason that these are monotheic religions that forbid such practices. The most commonly used magic is to separate the man from his wife. Magic is also often used to make people see imaginary things that are not real (exp: a stick becoming a snake).
My advice:
1-Never visit a shaman, a witch or a sorcerer.
2-Never try to enter in contact with the devil since the consequences will be disastrous on you and your relatives.
3-If you decide to work on this subject, Protect yourself first. If a shepherd’s dog attacks you, you need just to call the shepherd to take his dog away from you. So, pray god to keep the devil away from you.
Hamdi Ben Yahia That is just the sort of partial view from monotheism that I alluded to in my original response! I notice that you admit that Satan is God's attack dog (he was originally an angelic emanation of Yahweh, sent to test people), so if you use 'black magic' are you being tested by God or are you subverting the test to do something else? Not that that would be OK from the Yahwist perspective, I suppose! However, in fact, the idea of working with the Devil came from the Judeo-Christian orthodoxy in the first place, including the self-serving idea that other deities (or indeed saints, etc.) are somehow emissaries of Satan. Oh, and at the moment, if you do visit a shaman or witch, do remember to maintain a safe distance - not because of Satan, but to avoid giving them Covid-19...
1-If you claim that you believe in god you will be tested. The stronger your believe is the tougher the test will be. The more patient you will be the higher the reword will be. One of the tests that you might be subject to is: magic, illness, accident,…
2-if you don’t believe in god then you are on the wrong path and you are following the devil steps. In this case you might be subject to magic as a kind of punishment in this life. If that does not happen expect worse punishment in the hereafter. God forgive everything except not believing in him.
If you are atheist, it would be difficult for you to accept these ideas because they deal with the invisible world. If you believe that the devil does not exist, then you can request any shaman to initiate you to magic. You will believe when you practice it. However, it will be too late for you to go back to a normal life.
Hamdi Ben Yahia If you don't believe in God (i.e. the Abrahamic one), why would you believe in the Devil? Surely in the modern world, we also have to realise that there are many spiritual paths. Humans can't conceive of the true nature of divine reality, so we co-operate with the Divine in producing symbolic languages with which to connect. Those languages, which are our religions and mythologies, vary according to who we are and where we are. You seem to believe that there are only two possibilities, however, belief in the Abrahamic God and atheism. I think it should be clear from what I have written that I am not an atheist. and therefore the invisible world is not something I have a problem with. There are many gods (I am a polytheist), but there are also paths that do not require them (e.g. Buddhism).
One fallacy: no traditional shaman would initiate you just for the asking, you have to be called to the vocation within that society. A Western shaman may, of course, but I would suspect their credentials if they took anyone on so readily. Whether they would be initiating you into magic is another issue, of course.
A further point worth raising is the meaning of 'black'. The terms 'black magic' and 'black arts' do get confused. The original 'black art' was alchemy, but the 'black' here has nothing to do with evil, it comes from the name: 'al-kem'. Alchemy is the art of 'the black land', i.e. Egypt, taking its inspiration and traditions from the Hermetic corpus and Alexandrian practitioners of what became known as alchemy.
I agree with you. it is not easy to get initiated. The shaman has to get the permission from his invisible instructor and certain criteria have to be fulfilled.
the Magic is kind of controlling some events for good or bad purpose and aim. when it is for bad purposes. we call it Black Magic.
we have two kinds of Black Magic.
1-Black Magic goes through witches. they use power of some super power creatures to control events; which is related to devil as it has something to do with evil as they use it for bad purposes.
2-Black Magic or Black Art goes through Magicians. they use their skill to make illusions to control events; which is related to devil as it has something to do with evil as they use it for bad purposes again.
https://wikidiff.com/witch/magician
and for both of them whether witch or magician, they need to have design skill. as witch design signs to communicate with super power creatures to control them to do something for witch's aim; also magician design signs (through design semantics) to make illusion to communicate with men to control them to do something for magician's aim. (here we can call these magician as designer, singer, artist, actor, illusionist, and ...)
magic practice is a much older science than the "science" we call science today. Since ages mankind try to manipulate matter in different ways. The most common way today is techno-magic like using the forces of electricity, nuclear power etc... But long time ago mankind used telekinesis, telepathy etc and it was "normal".
However, to summon a being (after the rules of a ritus) is not very complicated, but to have might over it - is complicated, especially when that being is in a higher hirarchy (hirarchos (greec): holy order). This wisdom is mostly forgotten. But there are some "black" magicians who are able to pay the price for higher deamons. The easiest price to pay is just a lot of blood. Therefore we have so much bloodshed in the wolrd. It is the rsult of ancient magic practice. When you have enough money and connection like a worldbank-broker or a ceo of a world-concern, they come to you and offer you their diabolic wisdom. Without that way of seduction paying high price and long dependency over several lifes, you have to go a really hard way if you want to practice magic (e.g. as revealed by Franz Bardon). And after understanding what it means - you will no longer practice because deep understanding of "magic science" reveals you that god (the absolute) is immanent and transcendent as well and in the same (space)time also his individual parts wherever they are on the hirarchical order.
And true magic, inauguration or force comes from god! You may use it, when the time is just right, suddenly without intend of personal effect, than we call it "wonder", like walking on water, mental mass healing (e.g. Bruno Gröning) etc.
If black magic is real or available why the black magicians begging money from people as well as they are poor? Why not they are celebrities? In the Second war world, whey Germany, the USA, France and other GOVT wasted billions of dollars instead of doing black magic. Do magic be rich.
