Now that the American Statistical Association (ASA) has formally released a statement on p-values, I would like to know what the broader research community thinks about this statement. Does it necessitate a whole new way of reporting statistical results excluding p values entirely or does it indicate a more careful reporting of p values in future studies? Any perspective would be appreciated both from a statistician's and a non-statistician's point of view. Many thanks in advance!
