I' m going to simulate flow and heat transfer in partially filled channel with porous media. Heat transfer model in porous region is local thermal non-equilibrium (LTNE) and we have some interfacial boundary conditions between clear and porous regions. I am not really know which software can do that in the best way? Could you help me.

I've only used Ansys fluent software for simulating a porous media. But, I guess it can be useful for what you want. I simulated porous fin heat sink which is somehow similar to your problem. However, I used local thermal equilibrium option in my simulation.

You can use different CFD packages (Fluent, CFX, Open Foam). All of them are able to model the porous medium with LTNE assumption as far as I know. But according to my personal experience, Fluent provided more accurate results compared with CFX. Also please make sure that you enable PRESTO scheme for pressure interpolation if you use Fluent. Thanks, But I am in doubt that I could use LTNE boundary condition in fluent between two region: Clear fluid region and porous region.
How about Comsol? Is it more powerful than fluent on simulating porous media?
Hi Saeed, Do you mean a porous media problem, or a porous media approach using forcheimmer or darcy law?, If the second one, I will recommend you Star CCM+, It's a software which allow you to setup the easily the boundary conditions for those computations.
@ Oscar Alcocer Thanks for your answer, I mean second one, In Other word R.E.V. (Representative Elementary Volume) approach. we have Darcy and Brinkman terms in momentum equation and local thermal convection term (between fluid and metal foam) in energy equation. In addition channel is not fully filled with metal foam but half of the channel has filled with fluid only.
Interfacial boundary condition for energy equation between porous an clear regions is continuity of temperature and heat flux. In addition third boundary condition is LTNE condition in interfacial boundary as Ochoa-Tapia and Whitaker model. I've attached interfacial boundary condition. rp is porous radius in a tube and Ts and Tf is solid and fluid temperature.
