I am contemplating having a knock-in mouse made where the endogenous gene is replaced by a chimeric construct that is part endogeneous gene, part reporter. With my limited knowledge I would assume CRISPR is the way to go. In any case, this is to be outsourced and would therefore like to hear whether any have used a company (e.g. Taconic or GenOway) to generate a KI or KO mouse. Any input would be highly appreciated!
