That's right, the bad politicians live more and better in the underdeveloped countries, precisely because in many of them, the power groups and the politicians themselves live in a closed circle where they protect each other, to defraud, corrupt and traffic, with influence of power and under the protection of impunity.

Agre there is lot of room for the bad politicians in under developing countries

If we change some words, we can define democracy as - Democracy is by the (idiots/ illiterate / dishonest ...), Of the (...), and For the (...).

You may fill in the blanks with appropriate words.

The systems other than democracy are worse.

I think that there should be some change in the democratic system. First all the political parties should show their records of donations, as they favor from which they get donations. Second, there should be democratic elections within the political parties starting from its root level. In country like India, political parties are run by corporate where money is all and thoughts are nothing. Third, people should have power to recall. Fourth, distribution of money at the time of election (In countries like India) should be checked. Fifth, there should be separate courts for allegations of corruptions of public money. Sixth, there should be eligibility tests to file nominations in the elections. Seventh, the person/persons should pay all the money after confirming involved in the corruptions, by the courts.

These are my opinions. People should also be aware of selecting good person as their representative.
