Dear all,

I'm currently performing an apoptosis assay on my primary cultured cells. The kit I'm using is the Annexin-V-FITC and PI from Abcam. I've induced apoptosis with staurosporin 1µM (final concentration in the wells) for 20mins (apoptotic morphology was visible at this point).

The problem I've encountered is that my negative controls (no annexin-V or PI staining) of my apoptosis induced cells give strong signal in the green FITC emission channel. The negative controls of the cells that weren't treated with staurosporin don't show this staining. Could it be possible that the staurosporin/apoptotic cells is autofluorescent?

Thanks in advance!
