I am struggling with measuring inequality in health-workforce between regions based on number of workers in each region and region population using Atkinson index (spreadsheet is in attachment). Is there anyone willing to help me where I made mistake?

Not really my field but intuitively health workers in region /average = "income" for region (yi). Then choose epsilon = 0.5.
then yEDE = 1/25 {sigmai yi 0.5} } 2
ie no need to weight "income" by population size.

Emmanuel Ifeanyi Obeagu , if you have individual data, the best way is to use some of R packages. Or, even if you have grouped data in which you can make assumption using group mean.
