As an avid researcher, often we are under pressure to do research work in the realm of our specialization, however, how far this insistence is favorable to develop as a good researcher? should not we go for interdisciplinary?
Although specializing in a field is good, but interdisciplinary research may attract more grant these days. Doing interdisciplinary research will also help the researcher to acquire and develop more skills.
I thnik one shoule go for new things which may widen our platform and make us multi dynamic..

It is a time to explore the unexplored areas of the research with collaborative and interdisciplinary approach.
I agree with the views of the colleagues.
In general, I consider that interdisciplinary approach would broaden the 'horizons' of a scientist, keeping or not, at the same time, his/her specialization.
