I saw from your profile that you are active in electrochemistry. I take it that you have other colleagues who (beyond an interest in sustainable development) also follow governance and standards setting issues?

I am professor at Central University of Ecuador. We are working in alternatives more than REDD+. As you know, the Ecuadorian Government had promoted the Yasuni Iniative in the Amazon Region, but it was closed last year. However, the main proposal remains and it hasn´t disappeared. It could be a interesting experience to be analized

My research interests include (1) Analysis of costs and benefits of REDD+ to stakeholders, (2) sustainable behaviour to reduicing deforestation and forest degradation, local and indigenous right to forest resources and land use including benefit sharing mechanism and (3) development of Social and Environmental Safeguards  

I would like to get involved in this intersting project.  I appreciate the aspect of using a standards-based approach to influencing policy and decision making processes.  I am Environmental and resource economist, I have just defended my PhD thesis (Decembre 12, 2016) on the topic "Households livelihood strategies, Deforestation and Biodiversity conservation : a microeconometric analysis using rural households survey in the Tridom Landscape"  at the Laboratory of Forest Economics – French National Institute of Agricultural Research, Nancy, France.
