Well, beta.ipni.org is now under the banner of www.ipni.org and some say that it is user friendly possibly because this website is important also for searching authors and literature and it frequently refers to other websites such as POWO. I am, however, disappointed as the website has deviated from its original objectives of updating of names. There has been practically no update since last six months.

IPNI is now more up-to-date then it has been for a decade so I'm afraid I don't recognise that characterisation. From the statistics you can see that 9054 names have already been updated in 2020 !
