A recent report shows that working women in corporate sector are likely to quit their jobs or downshifting their careers due to challenges faced by Covid-19. It is said that may be this is due to increased hours of work at home as well as due to contributing at least six hours in domestic chores without maids and managing children without school and sports etc have all compel them to take second thoughts in continuing or quitting their own job.

Many extra household works has been added because of extra taken measures in hygiene during pandemic time. Homeschooling children is also an extended pressure on mothers. These are from individualistic risk.
From company perspective, when layoffs are happening companies tend keep male staff than female in general.

Dear Professor,
This is a very thoughtful question.
I do not think that the type of risks that have been included in the explanatory part of the question can be employed on "women" (please read "ladies") who are working in the corporate sector. This is because most of the time they are trained to do so. They are smart professionals who are very good in multi tasking. So in my opinion this proposition does not hold ground.
Moreover, let us treat people working in the corporate sector as professionals. Lets not give much importance to their gender. I will find it very strange to believe that today's smart and educated "women" are not skilled, experienced or intelligent enough to tackle problems like the ones mentioned here. I say that particularly keeping in mind the fact that just yesterday a very important nation on earth right now, has got a "woman" elected as Vice-President.
